Norwegian disco king Todd Terje is back with a new EP called “The Big Cover-Up” of disco covers. Set to drop on June 17th via his own Olsen label, the eight-track record marks Terje’s first studio collaboration with his live band, the Olsens. Digging through their extensive collections of well-loved wax, Terje and the gang have specially selected a quartet of disco classics ripe for a remake.
The EP includes covers of tracks by Yellow Magic Orchestra/Martin Denny, Martin Circus, Boney M and Vangelis, as well as remixes of those tracks by Daniel Maloso, Dan Tyler, Prins Thomas, and Øyvind Morken. Check out Daniel Maloso’s remix of their cover of Boney M.’s “Baby Do You Wanna Bump” below.
