Subjoi: “Fairfax”

Fresh off the release of his “Me & U” EP on Lost Palms, Australian producer Subjoi joins the Distant Hawaii family with his sun-soaked new EP, a five-tracker called “Fairfax” of pure 90’s vibes to put a spring in yer 2-step.

The new record sees the producer shifting into more effervescent sounds from his lo-fi beginning, delivering a collection of warm house tunes. Our first taste comes in the form of the EPs opener and title track, a proper dance floor filler. On “Fairfax”, Subjoi takes a classic sound and steps it up a notch with ravey vocals, piano stabs, rollin’ over a killer beat to make you move your feet.
