Melbourne’s STATUE, the percussion-based dance project of Tom Gould, has teamed up with fellow Aussie producer and DJ Ash Moses, aka Tunnel Signs, to deliver a superb EP, entitled “Stay In Touch”, a four-tracker recorded remotely between Melbourne and Sydney during isolation.
The record, which features three original tracks and a dub version of “Touch”, perfectly combines the industrial strength of Tunnel Signs with the percussive chug of STATUE. Our favourite cut from the release is “Touch”, a deep, melodic groover with a subtle sense of melancholy. It’s a beauty of a tune!
All profits from the release will go to Foodbank who support those that are most vulnerable throughout this crisis. While we may not be together we can all STAY IN TOUCH.
