And she’s back! Róisín Murphy covers classic Italian pop tracks from the 60′s and 70′s for her new EP called “Mi Senti”, her first solo material since 2012’s great single “Simulation” for Permanent Vacation. The release will feature five electronic cover versions of Mina’s “Ancora Ancora Ancora” and “Non Credere”, Patty Pravo’s “Pensiero Stupendo”, Gino Paoli’s “La Gatta”, and Lucio Battisti’s 1976 hit “Ancora Tu”, which you can now stream above. The EP also contains one original song, “In Sintesi”, by Murphy.
In her own words: “In these songs, emotions are at the surface of things and that is what I found again and again when I was researching Italian music and that is what I feel from the language, when I speak it and even without understanding it, I feel close to love, close to the truth about human motivation.”
