Last month, Irish dance-pop queen Róisín Murphy dropped her Italian-influenced “Mi Senti” EP, a collection of five electronic covers of classic Italian pop tracks from the 60′s and 70′s, plus one original song “In Sintesi”. Now, she’s set to follow up that record with an all-star remix package, including treatments from the likes of Psychemagik, The All Seeing I, Severino & Nico De Ceglia, and Leo Mas & Fabrice.
Here, we have a remix of Róisín Murphy’s cover of Mina’s “Ancora Ancora Ancora” by Severino (of Horse Meat Disco fame) in collaboration with his fellow Italian producer/DJ Nico De Ceglia, also known as the duo Hyena Stomp. And yes, it’s discolicious! As a bonus you can download a rework of “Ancora Tu” by cosmic disco legend Daniele Baldelli and his sonic prodigy Marco Dionigi for free here.
The first “Mi Senti” remix package will drop on June 23 through The Vinyl Factory.
