Tel Aviv’s Red Axes, the duo of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, have had a busy year of quality releases on I’m A Cliche, Multi Culti, and John Talabot’s Hivern Discs label. Now, they’re back with their brand-new single “Sabor”, a hauntingly beautiful tune that clocks in at seven minutes. The track finds Red Axes once again teaming up with Brazilian-born musician and vocalist Abrão Levin, a member of various Brazilian punk bands of the ’80s. As they say: “Give your sounds some room and blades and it will float above the land.”
The “Sabor” EP, which also features an instrumental version and a fine remix by German minimalist house producer Rajko Müller, aka Isolée, drops on December 4th via Crosstown Rebels. Pre-order your 12” here.
