Brooklyn’s No Regular Play, the duo of Greg Paulus and Nicholas DeBruyn, have a new album on the way, called “Can’t You See”, which follows their 2012 debut LP, “Endangered Species”, on Wolf + Lamb Records. Recorded shortly after the passing of Greg Paulus’ father, Stephen Paulus, famed classical composer, the pair’s second album is driven by their bold spirit to positively respond to a very intense period in their lives.
Our first taste of the album comes from “Lake Gilmore”, a finely crafted tune with nostalgic melodies and Greg Paulus inimitable trumpet. The main melody in “Lake Gilmore” is an outline of a chord that famed classical composer Stephen Paulus used repeatedly in his music. Give it a spin below, and enjoy the ride.
The album “”Can’t You See” drops on August 5th via Crew Love Records.
