Moomin is back with a new two-track EP, entitled “Concrete Grounds”, on his own label Closer. Following his excellent “Yesterday’s Tomorrows” LP, released last year on WOLF Music Recordings, the northern German Berliner-by-choice Moomin deepens his warm significant sound jungle from hip-hop, jazz and house. This time round, he explores further exciting depths of closer and related genres. Our pick is the record’s A-side cut “Concrete”, finely crafted tune with a warm breakbeat mood. Including soft pads, long strings and light spacey elements the seven-minute track opens the door to a warm winterly club fireplace.
