We can’t think of a better way to kick off the week than with Mirror People’s debut album “Voyager”, which is now available for free download. The nine-track record, which was written during the past two years in his hometown Lisbon, features plenty of collaborations, including Adelaide-based producer James Curd, who is also part of the Australian trio Favored Nations, Rowetta (of Happy Mondays fame), Hard Ton, Maria do Rosário, and more. It also includes two previously released singles, “Nothing To Give” and “Come Over”, both featuring the lovely vocals from Iwona Skwarek of Polish synth-pop duo Rebeka.
A deliciously groovy, funky and upbeat collection of well-crafted tunes, “Voyager” finds Portuguese producer/DJ Rui Maia offering us a joyful disco ride to remember. Grab the whole thing below, and make sure to check out the Hard Ton-featuring track “Dance The Night Away”, one of the record’s highlights, above.
