Belfast-based producer Michael Dillon has made quite a name for himself as Maricopa with a handful of releases on Tusk Wax and Back To The Balearics, a series of EPs of pure downtempo house, perfectly sun-soaked vibes and subtly melodic soundscapes. His latest offering, a solid two-track 10” called “The Possibility Of An Island”, which has been on repeat mode for a while now, is finally seeing a proper release via the newly minted, vinyl-only imprint Fools & Fables Recordings.
Here, we have for you the EPs B-side cut, “This Way Forever”, a truly gorgeous slice of downtempo heaven that will leave you craving more. It’s also seven of the most finest minutes of music we’ve heard this year so far. We can’t wait to hear what Maricopa comes up with next.
“The Possibility Of An Island” EP is out now. Only 300 vinyl copies pressed, so be quick on this. Pick up your 10” here.
