Marcus Marr: “The Music”

What a tune! It’s certainly been quite some time since we last heard from Brixton’s producer and DJ Marcus Marr, who also runs his own label New Finger, but he’s back with this incredible funky jam, “The Music”, which was recently released on DFA. It clocks in at almost nine minutes, but we still can’t get enough of it.

The instrumental version of “The Music” can also be heard in the new London-set crime thriller remake of Nicolas Winding Refn’s 1996 cult film “Pusher”, directed by Luis Prieto.
