Operating in a cloud of mystery, elusive producer Man Power first emerged last year with a string of untitled music videos, quality mixes, and impressive house releases for labels like Correspondant, Eskimo Recordings and Is It Balearic. Man Power has quickly captured the attention of listeners, while remaining resistant to revealing his true identity. We still don’t know all that much about him, apart from the fact that the enigmatic producer lives somewhere in Europe.
This week saw the release of Man Power’s new EP “Kiloton” on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant label, a four-track offering with two fine remixes by Hardway Bros and Raudive, which is definitely worth checking out here. To mark the occasion, Man Power has offered up a free download of his great edit of the Cure’s “If Only Tonight We Could Sleep”, entitled “Velvet Arms”.
After grabbing the edit, keep an eye out for the producer’s upcoming debut release for John Talabot’s label, Hivern Discs. Below, you can also watch a video for his tune “Kiloton”. Feel the power!
