Majorettes: “Run The Trip (Midland’s Downlow Dub)”

Majorettes drop their second offering on their own label, Major Records.
Last month, Majorettes, the newly formed outfit of New York’s Justin Cudmore and The Carry Nation, comprised of Nita Aviance and Will Automagic, launched their own label Major Records with their stellar debut release, the two-tracker “Discotheque”. Now, they’re already back with their new single “Run The Trip”, a perfectly crafted tune of filtered arpeggios, disco percs and ethereal pianos licks.
The single comes back with a great remix by London-based DJ and producer Harry Agius, aka Midland. On his “Downlow Dub” version of “Run The Trip”, the mighty producer takes us even deeper in his dub, evoking the dark and steamy vibes of legendary dance den, the NYC Downlow. Fully transported, his driving bass and piano stabs carry us through a crowd of sweaty revelers towards the front of the stage to witness the divas telling it “like it is”.
