Nashville’s dusty funkateers Magic In Threes have returned to Razor-N-Tape Reserve with a triptych of low-strung grooves, each complimented by a superlative remix. Entitled “Work Tapes”, the six-track EP also features some fine remixes by the likes of Fouk, Patchworks, and Lay-Far. One of our favorites cuts from the record is “Come On Down”, a reminiscent of classic Donald Byrd in the Larry Mizell days. A lovely package for listening, or bumping!
The “Work Tapes” EP is out now on Razor-N-Tape Reserve.
