Say hello to Luces, a new collaborative project between Felix Bloxsom, otherwise known as Plastic Plates, and Caleb Cornett, aka Amtrac.
The pair’s debut EP, a four-tracker called “Habitual Ritual”, will drop on NYC’s Let’s Play House in June, and consists of three original tunes along with a dubby remix by Autofac, a production duo comprised of DFA veterans Juan MacLean and Shit Robot.
Our first taste comes in the form of the EPs title track and it’s a total winner. Clocking in at nearly six minutes, “Habitual Ritual” is a “big-room epic with an undercurrent of classic deep house and disco vibes running through it.”
The “Habitual Ritual” EP will arrive on June 2 on vinyl, while the digital version will come out on June 16 via Let’s Play House. Pre-order it here.
