Last week, we shared with you a great podcast from Berlin-based producer/DJ Andrew Claristidge along with news of his forthcoming solo EP, but now it’s time to hear something new from his French electro duo Acid Washed that we’ve been following for a long time. Everything Acid Washed touched turned to gold and their epic remix of “All The Cities” from fellow French singer/songwriter Laura Peinetti, aka Lippie, is no exception.
On their remix of “All The Cities”, taken from her first solo album “An imaginary Truth”, the duo of Andrew Claristidge and Richard D’Alpert transform the original track into an eight-minute guitar-driven electro workout that feels like a late-night highway drive. This is not the first time that the two have crossed paths, as Lippie has contributed vocals to two songs on Acid Washed’s 2010 self-titled debut album. You can now grab a free download of this remix exclusively on La.Ga.Sta.
And the news gets even better: Acid Washed are getting ready to drop a strong remix package for some standout tracks from their Joakim-produced second album “House Of Melancholy”, released last year via Record Makers. The “House Of Melancholy Remixed” EP will feature four new remixes by the likes of Moscoman, Molécule, Bufi and Miss Kittin. Bring it on!
