Lake Haze: “Sun Rising On Concrete Landscapes”
Lake Haze drops his second LP of moody, emotional dance music.
Lake Haze returns to Shall Not Fade with his first release in five years.
Portuguese artist Lake Haze, otherwise known as Gonçalo Salgado, makes a welcome return to Shall Not Fade with his second LP “Sun Rising On Concrete Landscapes” of moody, emotional club music. Intergalactic space cowboy Lake Haze is a key player in Portuguese musical exports, delivering masterful blends of techno grooves and retro melodies, and released his debut LP “Glitching Dreams” on E-Beamz in 2019.
The “Sun Rising On Concrete Landscapes” LP marks his first release on Shall Not Fade in five years since his synth-heavy and infectiously moody “Somewhere Between Shadows” EP in 2016. The eight-track record explores further the atmospheric, slightly melancholic timbre to Salgado’s music. The use of reverb across the LP elucidates a sense of looking back to the past.
One of our favourite cuts from the record is the title track, a great tune that feels dramatic, starting with melodic loops and scattered percussion but building into an untamed acid-tinged electro banger. Blast it below.
The “Sun Rising On Concrete Landscapes” LP is out now via Shall Not Fade.
