Joakim: “Numb” Video
Directed by Adrian Yu.
French electronic producer and Tigersushi head honcho Joakim will drop his fourth album “Samurai”, the follow-up to his 2014 LP “Tropics Of Love”, in March.
The 13-track record is about his journeys between New York City, Tokyo and Paris. In writing, Joakim was inspired by a range of influences from the literary (Mishima’s Hagakure: Samurai Ethics & Modern Japan), to the sonic (home-made electronic and “new age”’ style music) and the circumstantial (Japan and New York).
Today, Joakim has shared a video for the record’s first single “Numb”, which is a parody of the YouTube phenomenon of make-up tutorials. Below, you can grab a free download of a house rework of “Numb” by Ed Banger new protégé Borussia.
The album “Samurai” arrives on March 17th via Tigersushi/Because.
