Gypsy & The Cat: “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else” Video

Melbourne’s Gypsy & The Cat, the electro-pop duo of Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers, recently dropped their new video for their latest single “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else”. The video was shot on location in Japan and using artist Housetu Sato’s famous woollen cat head. “The video highlights escapism in all of our quotidian days. We all at some point want someone else’s car or house or hair or job or life; it’s a very normal mental process in the everyday,” says Xavier Bacash. The single “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else” will appear on the duo’s forthcoming third album “Virtual Islands”, set to arrive in August.
