Eddie C returns with a sublime EP on MotorCity Wine.
Εveryone’s favourite Berlin-based Canadian maestro and Red Motorbike boss Eddie C is a long time friend of Detroit’s MotorCity Wine Recordings, and his debut EP “For The People” for the label is long overdue. Eddie C’s prolific production and DJ prowess shines bright on this sublime four-tracker with a track for all the joyful moments.
The A-side is uptempo, leading with the effervescent “For The People”. Next Eddie taps in west coast Canadian producer Murge for a moody collaborative tune “Pacific Jam”, a jazzy affair with plenty of club bounce. On the B-side he slows down the pace, starting with the mid tempo roller “Ama Zone”, an afro-acid-cosmic workout for late nights and sunrises. The release closes with “Dubbing Into Darkness”, a beatdown cut with Eddie’s signature reggae bump to nicely up the function. A great ride from start to finish.
