German house producer David Nattkemper, aka David August, makes a welcome return with his first solo record in two years. His new single “J.B.Y.” not only marks his debut release on Ninja Tune’s sub-label Counter Records but signals another new chapter in his musical career. Laced with David’s deep, melodic signature sound, “J.B.Y.” of delicate piano chords and freeform ambience is certainly worth a few spins. Enjoy the ride.
