Berlin’s Suol Records head honchos Chopstick & Johnjon, aka Chi-Thien Nguyen and John Muder, make a welcome return with a new EP called “Closer”. The record of four fresh tracks marks the pair’s first release of original material since last year’s debut album “Twelve”. Our favorite cut from the release is the eight-minute “Catamount”, a finely crafted house tune that finds Chopstick & Johnjon teaming up with New York-based producer Ryan Cavanagh, aka Slow Hands. And it’s worth every minute. Enjoy the ride.
The “Closer” EP, which also features guest appearances from Larissa Kapp and Chris James, drops on November 27 on Suol. Pre-order it here.
