“Luminous, poetic and radical.” French singer and musician Chloé Raunet, formerly of London-based coldwave band Battant, made her first pit stop under her C.A.R. moniker last year with the release of her much-loved debut solo “Laika” EP. Now, she’s back with her great new single “Idle Eyes”, which is described as “super tongue and cheek – an exercise in self-deprecation.” With its spoken word vocals and icy synths, this track is just one more reason to get excited about C.A.R.’s forthcoming debut album “My Friend”. The “Idle Eyes” single, which was originally written for Gesaffelstein, is out now digitally via Kill The DJ, complete with fine remixes by the likes of Roman Fluegel, Planningtorock, Clara 3000 and rRoxymore. Below, you can watch the video for “Idle Eyes”, directed by Fiona Garden.
C.A.R.’s debut album “My Friend” will drop on October 27th via Kill The DJ. Pre-order here.
