Sydney-based beatsmith Sebastian Muecke, aka Basenji, just dropped his new six-track EP “Trackpad”, which marks his debut release on Future Classic. One of the EPs standout cuts is “About You”, a sleek, R&B-infused tune that finds him teaming up with fellow Aussie singer-songwriter Oscar Key Sung, also known as one half of house duo Andras & Oscar. Give it a spin above, and drive slow.
The EP, so named because it was made almost entirely with his laptop’s trackpad, is said to be a “dream ride through electronic R&B-influence pop: all plucked harps, lush synth pads and airy vocals.” Just in case you missed it, watch the video for his previous single “Petals”, a beautifully delicate tune featuring vocals of Scenic frontman Adam Tucker, here.
