About time! It feels like forever since we’ve heard anything new from our favorite Australian duo Bag Raiders, which is now based in Los Angeles, but they’re finally back in action with a new four-track EP entitled “Nairobi/Savannah” just in time for summer. The release marks the dynamic pair’s first recorded material to surface since its 2010 excellent self-titled debut LP on Modular.
Today, Bag Raiders’ Chris Stracey and Jack Glass have shared the EPs lead single, “Nairobi”, a dancefloor-ready jam driven by marimba sounds and infectious rhythms. And yes, we can’t stop dancin’ in our car. Give it a spin above, and feel the heat.
The “Nairobi/Savannah” EP, which comes complete with remixes from London’s Zombie Disco Squad and rising Melbourne-based producer Roland Tings, will drop on July 4 via Modular. Also, Bag Raiders’ dropped this week a superb new remix of Riton’s “Inside My Head”, featuring vocals from Meleka. It’s so good to have them back!
