Baba Stiltz: “Rodeo” Video
Shot during a heat ridden weekend in Stockholm.
Directed by Baba Stiltz & Isak Berglund Mattsson-Mårn.
It’s been a long, wild ride, but Swedish musician and producer Baba Stiltz is finally back with his new EP titled “Journals”. Before it drops on July 30th via CYCLE, we’re treated to a video for the record’s new single “Rodeo”, which is loosely about time passing, habits, loneliness and relationships. “It’s basically a song of suites or scenes describing a triptych of longing, anxiety and hedonism,” explains Baba. The video was shot during a heat ridden weekend in Stockholm. It’s an effort between Baba and his friend and long-time collaborator Isak Berglund Mattsson-Mårn.
Τhe “Journals” EP is a collection of a songs documenting the musician’s life and experiences since we last heard from him; he released the guitar-driven track “Running Τo Chad” last year (which also appears on the upcoming EP), but the EP primarily follows 2017’s “Showtime” EP for XL Recordings and marks a new chapter in Baba’s ever expanding musical sound.
