New York-based musician/producer/DJ Ryan Cavanagh, aka Slow Hands, is just a month away from dropping his much-anticipated debut album “I’ll Find Me” via Wolf + Lamb Records. We’ve already heard “Phonograph Love”, a perfectly crafted tune of slinky grooves and whispery vocals, and now we’re treated to an extended mix of the record’s title track. In true Show Hands fashion, this gorgeous nine-minute version of “I’ll Find Me” is a club-friendly affair filled with rich piano chords, acoustic guitar melodies and amazing trumpets supplied by No Regular Play’s Greg Paulus. Blast it above.
The extended mix will appear on Slow Hands’ upcoming “I’ll Find Me” Remixes EP, which will drop on November 6th via Wolf + Lamb Records. The release also features remixes by Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb, along with an entirely live bluegrass version of the tune recorded with the help of Vermont’s band Gold Town and his longtime collaborators Dave “Cameo Culture” Robertson, Nico “One of Them” Dalagelis. Below, you can watch a video for this version, which was shot by Duncan Lake at the Sugar Shack in Tinmouth, Vermont.
“For me, this forthcoming album is a documentation of the rediscovery of my root musical inspirations. Nothing is more inspiring to me than the places that I am from, and the people that surround me in NYC and Vermont,” says Ryan Cavanagh.
Slow Hands’ debut “I’ll Find Me” LP arrives on November 6th. Pre-order the EP here.
