It always feels good driving around with Leon Vynehall. The last time we heard from Brighton house producer was last summer, then he dropped his sublime “Butterflies/This Is the Place” 12” for Clone’s Royal Oak series. Now, he’s back with his new track “Midnight On Rainbow Road” that has been floating around the web for a while now. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, the track is nothing but pure bliss, perfect for driving on the Autobahn at 6am. “Midnight On Rainbow Road” is the opening track off the new “Musik For Autobahns 2” compilation, compiled by Running Back head honcho Gerd Janson.
Inspired by many trips on the Autobahn between Frankfurt and Heidelberg, the new compilation features eleven tracks of “ambient race car music”, including contributions from Joy Orbison, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Bicep, Orson Wells, and more. You can preview the whole thing here.
“Musik For Autobahns 2” drops on September 7 on Rush Hour. Pre-order it here.
