Next up on the Brooklyn’s vinyl-only edits label Razor-N-Tape is a special EP from Philly-based DJ/producer Michael The Lion, who has already produced tons of quality tracks and disco edits as DJ Apt One and with his group RCMP. After dropping his great tune “Funk Train”, featuring Amy Douglas on vocals, which was released late last year on Soul Clap Records, Michael The Lion flexes his edit skills once again, delivering four tracks in his signature funk-influenced style. Our favorite cut from that release is the Herb Alpert-sampling “909s And Herb”, co-produced with Fool’s Gold’s Sammy Bananas. Killer.
The “Michael The Lion Edits” is out now on Razor-N-Tape. Pick up your 12” here.
