Woodkid: “The Golden Age” Video

And here it is. Yoann Lemoine, the multi-talented Frenchman behind Woodkid, has finally unveiled the video for “The Golden Age”, the fourth and final chapter in a series of epic, cinematic videos: “Iron”, “Run Boy Run”, and “I Love You”. This beautifully shot eleven-minute video, which pays tribute to his favorite photographer William Gedney, features an extended and re-recorded version of “Embers” by renowned British composer Max Richter.

“The Golden Age” is “about the very early days of the boy running in ‘Run Boy Run’. It’s like a postcard from childhood. It’s about skin, love, fear, violence and boys,” says Woodkid. The track is lifted from his debut album “The Golden Age”, released last year via Island.

Directed by Yoann Lemoine.
