We first heard of Melbourne’s Chelsea Wheatley, better known as Chela, silky voice last summer, when she was singing Goldroom’s beautiful track “Fifteen”. Since then she has collaborated with Clubfeet and Viceroy, and released two solo singles, “Full Moon” and “Plastic Gun”, proving to be one of Australian’s most promising new singers.
Now, Chela is ready to drop her first single, called “Romanticise”, for Kitsuné and it’s so damn catchy. The “Romanticise” EP with remixes by Gold Fields, Collarbones, Boys Get Hurt, Le Bruce, and Fascinator, will be released digitally on August 26th. As a bonus, you can grab the delicious remix of “Romanticise” by fellow Aussie band Gold Fields. Download it below.
