Dino Soccio shares a favourite track

Today we welcome our beloved Los Angeles-via-Chicago producer and DJ Dino Soccio, who never cease to amaze us witn his quality releases and classy disco edits via his own Pleasure of Love imprint. The incredibly talented producer shares with us his all-time favourite “Galactica” remix of Mike Mareen’s “Dancing In The Dark”, released all the way back in 1985.

Dino Soccio writes: “All time favorite italo (but not italo!) record, I found myself putting it on the player often early in the pandemic. Maybe it was nostalgia for carefree times, maybe it was the melancholy undertones that were comforting. I never get sick of it even though I’ve rinsed it in sets over the years. The ‘Galactica’ remix is really a great arrangement. Mike Mareen never really topped this one.”
