Boston duo Soul Clap are back with their second self-titled album that has been four years in the making. Our first taste from the upcoming record comes in the form of “Shine (This Is It)”, a piano-driven house anthem featuring legendary vocalist Nona Hendryx, a founding member of the group Labelle. Speaking about the album, Charles Levine, one half of the duo, said: “it digs deep into our funky souls and turns our wildest dreams into sound. If ‘EFUNK’ [their first album] was an attempt to create a blueprint using our past inspirations, then “Soul Clap” is the beautiful skyscraper, standing tall as it looks to the future.” The album will drop on October 14th on on !K7 Records/Crew Love.
The single “Shine (This Is It)” comes backed with a pair of remixes from Erodiscotique, a collaboration between Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca. You can grab a free download of Erodiscotique’s instrumental version of “Shine (This Is It)” below. Classy!
